Raise your voice

I really like this film and I think it would be very sad if it was true. The song she sings in the end (Someone's watching over me) is a song I also find quite sad but in the end everything it says is true. You need to believe in yourself to follow a dream.

This is a film about a girl who loved singing. This girl was called Terry Flutcher (Hilary Duff) and she wanted to go to this music summer program but his dad didn't allow her go.

Without Terry knowing this, his brother sent a video of her singning at home and in the end she was accepted in the school.
Her brother decides to take her to a concert to celebrate it although Terry was supposed to stay in her room as a punishment for being so persistent on going to that school. Unfortunately her brother died while they were returning home because they had a car accident accident.

When Terry woke up she was in a hospital and her mum gave her the bad news and to make her a bit happier she also told her that she had a plan for her to go to that summer school. Terry would say as if she is going to be all her summer holidays with her auntie at her house (it was far away from home!!!!)

And so she did, but the standard of the school was very high and each time she tried to sing properly she remembered her brother and she just couldn't sing. She was very depressed until one the teachers spoke to her and made her understand she was there because of her beautiful voice and that if she didn't demonstrate she could sing as well as the girl in the video they received, she would have to go. So with the help of his new boyfriend (he was also in this school) and herself being strong she was able to sing in the final concert. She sang the song "Someone's watching over me" and she dedicated it to her brother.

In the end her father dicovered the plan and went to the school to take her back home, but he listened to her singing in the stage and he understood that being in that school had been for Terry the best thing which could have happened to her after the death of her brother.

She's the man

It's a film I saw yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot. It's about a girl called Viola which played in the school's female football team. Everything was fine until they deleted the team from the footbal league. Viola got angry and she saw her boyfriend was a .They didn't let her play in the male team so she began to look for a solution.
A few days later his twin brother told her to help him with a problem. He was going to London for a few weeks and school was going to start shortly. Viola had an idea. She would go to his brother's new school and pretend to be him while she joined the male football team. Like that she would help his brother, she would demonstrate she was capable of playing in the boys team and that GIRLS ARE NOT INFEREIOR to boys.
She gets to play football quite well but now that wasn't her most important problem. She liked a boy called Duke which liked Olivia and Olivia was pretending to want Duke too!!! But that was just to make Sebastian (who really was Viola) jealous. Olivia finally decided to show Sebastian she liked him by kissing him and she kissed the real Sebastian because in the end he returned before the planned date and everyone got to know the secret. Viola had been pretending to be him.

Channing Tatum- Duke and Amanda Bynes- Viola.

Laura Ramsey- Olivia

John Tucker Must Die

Last Saturday I stayed at home with some friends and we watched a film called John Tucker must die. I liked it and I found quite realistic.

It was about a boy which was the captain of the basketball team and he had 3 girlfriends, all at the same time. When the girls get to know that he's been cheating on them they make a plan to destroy John Tucker and they make friends with a girl called Kay to carry it out. The plan consisted in making Kay a combination of the other 3 girls (all in one!).
John falls in love with Kay and she just plays tricks on him but in a really, really deep place inside her she also loves him.
In the end Kay tells John the truth and Kay was remembered as the girl which made John Tucker really fall in love.

Mamma Mia

The people who like the music from the group "ABBA" will probably like this film quite a lot more than what I did. I liked it but I thought it was going to be better as many people had told me it was fantasic.

It's about a girl called Sophie which had one dream before she got married. She wanted to know her father.
During many years her mother didn't tell her where her father was or who he was. All her life Sofie had been asking herself how his father might be, where he could be... Until one day she found her mother's diary and she begun to read it. She discovered she could have 3 posible fathers. Those were the 3 men who had been in love with her mother the summer she got pregnant. So as she was decided to have her father in her wedding she invited the 3 of them.
All the story is about what Sophie does to get to know who her father was.
In the end she decides she prefers to have a mother that loves her a lot than having a father that left her mother alone when she got pregnant. And instead of she getting married, it was her mother who married one of the 3 men who might have been her father.

my holidays!!!!

The Walk of Fame and a special round star given to an astronaut.

These holidays I went to hollywood to see the walk of fame. It was so impressive!!!

You could see more than 2000 stars with the names of many different celebrities on them! In 2004 there were more than 2150 stars given out so imagine the number of stars which could be seen this summer!!

Did you know that...

  • the first star of the walk of fame was given to the actress Joanne Woodward

  • in the crossing between Hollywood Boulevard and Vine street there are 4 special "round stars" which were given to the astronauts which took part in the mission of help 11

  • the youngest people to receive a star in the walk of fame were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen when thy were 17.

  • the first cartoon character to receive a star was "Mickey Mouse" in honor to his 50th anniversary.
